By The Hand Kids Clubs of Chicago Battle it Out in Bible Bowl for a Trip to Washington D.C.

“How many people does the Bible mention by name?”  

Those are the types of questions that 40 students from four By The Hand Club For Kids centers will be trying to answer in the first ever Bible Bowl to be held on the west side of Chicago May 5.

Since September, students have been studying for the Bible Bowl with new curriculum from Museum of the Bible. The winning team will get a trip to see the nation’s capitol and visit Museum of the Bible, which opens in November.

M.J. Murdock Charitable Trust, based in Vancouver, Washington, has awarded Museum of the Bible a grant of $1.5 million toward the continued development, production, purchasing, storage, care, distribution and tracking of the museum’s Digital Guide units.

A piece of Martin Luther returns to this storied city just in time for the celebration of the 500th anniversary of the historical event when a new exhibit from Museum of the Bible, the 430,000-square-foot museum opening this November in Washington, comes to Germany.

Today, the Museum of the Bible Scholars Initiative announced the recipients of the 2017 Edwin M. Yamauchi Award for Excellence in Textual Studies, which is the third annual award to honor young scholars who have demonstrated exceptional understanding of biblical language studies and are pursuing terminal degrees. The award is named after renowned scholar and professor emeritus at Miami University (Ohio), Edwin Maseo Yamauchi, Ph.D.

The production is slated for an eight-week run with opening night scheduled for November 18th 2017.
