Lunch & Learn

“Deep and Wide”: Exploring the Bible as a Tool for Classroom LearningJune 5, 2024

This Lunch & Learn is specially designed for educators who are curious about ways to use the Bible in the secondary classroom.

As the children’s song says, the Bible is a “fountain flowing, deep and wide!” The Bible offers countless opportunities to explore and wonder, engage and learn in meaningful ways. Join us and Reverend Dr. Jennifer Jones Powell, former education professor and current minister, as she discusses the many ways we can use the Bible to enhance secondary students’ understandings of the human story through the lenses of history, science, literature, and literacy learning. Learn how to go “deep and wide” with the Bible in the classroom, and gain some resources to do so, too!

The speaker for this event will be virtual. Guests are welcome to join in person at the museum or online. Please register below.

Lunch & Learn is a free in-person or online program. If you wish to attend Lunch & Learn in person, please remember a museum general admission ticket is required for entry.
