Johannes Gutenberg and Steve Jobs

"200 Million—that’s the number of times the Bible App’s been installed by someone in the world engaging with the Bible!

When YouVersion launched their Bible app on iPhone, there were 12 Bible versions in two languages.

There are now over 1200 versions in more than 900 languages!

Bobby Gruenewald, creator of YouVersion, suggested that Apple CEO, Steve Jobs, was the Gutenberg of our time!

In the 15th century, Johannes Gutenberg printed the Bible faster and for less money than had ever been done before.

Making the comparison, Gruenewald said:
“Using the Bible App on iPhones. . .to say nothing of countless other devices influenced by Steve Jobs’ ideas—millions of people now have free access to the very book that Gutenberg started printing."

Engage with the Bible—with people all over the world who read, listen to, and share the Bible!"
