2024 Year in Review

A Note from Jackie

Dear Women of Legacy,

Christmas greetings to you and yours! I hope this message finds you enjoying all that the holiday season has to offer—festive celebrations, precious time with loved ones, and most importantly, a time to remember our Savior coming to us in a manger. This time of year can feel overwhelming with so many to-do lists to check off, parties to host or attend, and gifts to prepare. I pray you find time to reflect and savor the peace and hope we have in the one true King and remember why we celebrate.

Museum of the Bible is decked out for the holidays from floor to ceiling, the beautiful voices of choirs are resonating throughout our Grand Hall, and special concerts are being performed in the World Stage Theater. Our guests are experiencing Christmas cheer all month long! If you haven’t had a chance to visit Museum of the Bible during the holiday season, we highly encourage you add that to your family’s wish list.

Can you believe it’s almost time to flip the calendar to 2025? Before we do, let’s reflect on the blessings of 2024.

In the spring, we welcomed a new group of Women of Legacy at our “Foundations” event. They join an incredible network of women from around the country! We also opened the reimagined New Testament Experience and the immersive worship experience, All Creation Sings.

The summer season was eventful, and we welcomed our 3 millionth guest on July 10. We honored our former chief executive officer, Harry Hargrave, and thanked him for his service as he passed the torch to Dr. Carlos Campo, who served nine years on the Museum of the Bible board. We are grateful for this smooth transition of leadership, as well as all Harry and his wife, Gayle, do to support Museum of the Bible and share its mission across the world. We invite you to learn more about Carlos and his wife, Karen, by clicking here.

This fall, Museum of the Bible turned seven! Museum of the Bible had its grand opening to the public November 17, 2017. The museum is a global, innovative, educational institution with the mission to invite all people to engage with the transformative power of the Bible through interactive exhibits and cutting-edge technology. Strategically located just three blocks from the US Capitol in Washington, DC, we are proud that the museum can serve as a beacon of light to all nations. We thank our friends like you whose support and prayers are the foundation of this effort, making the Bible known for future generations!

Also, this fall, we opened two remarkable exhibits: The Megiddo Mosaic and Sacred Words. You can find out more about these exciting exhibits by clicking this link.

You’ll be able to visit these new experiences and The Megiddo Mosaic exhibit at the next Women of Legacy Summit and Reunion, March 26–28, 2025. Our theme for the event is Curators. We will discover ways to intentionally curate our legacy story to impact generations with biblical truths as we are immersed in the museum. We look forward to hearing from special guests Jennie Allen and Lisa Bevere and worshipping with Shane & Shane! It’s sure to be a memorable time reconnecting with old friends and meeting new ones as we gather in the heart of our nation’s capital. Be on the lookout for invitations arriving in early January, with registration opening on January 8, 2025. To learn more about the event, please click here. We hope to see you there! We pray for you, our valued supporters, that you will feel the true Christmas Spirit and experience the thrill of hope this season amid the holiday hustle and bustle. Our hope for you in 2025 is that you will be inspired to engage with God’s Word and be refreshed as you welcome a new year.

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.” — Romans 15:13 (ESV)

Thank you for your partnership and prayers! We wish you a blessed Christmas and look forward to seeing you in 2025!

Gratefully, Jackie Green Museum of the Bible Co-Founder; Women of Legacy Founder
