Museum of the Bible Hosts Women’s Fashion Show

Washington, D.C., September 10, 2019 – Museum of the Bible will host a women’s luncheon and fashion show featuring biblically inspired couture and designs on Tuesday, September 17. The almost sold-out fundraising event is the first of its kind for the D.C. area and will culminate with the debut of an exclusive, one-of-a-kind couture gown by Chiara Boni that will be donated to the Museum of the Bible Collection.

The fashion show will feature pieces from the Museum of the Bible couture collection — including items from Versace, Givenchy, Jean Paul Gaultier and Dolce & Gabbana — in addition to donated and purchased items. Style Bible author and established D.C. fashion expert Lauren Rothman will be styling the show. A permanent exhibit focused on the Bible’s impact on fashion is located on the museum’s Impact Floor as part of a larger exhibit exploring the Bible’s impact on the world.

Doors open at 11:30 a.m. with a silent auction followed by a luncheon and fashion show scheduled from 11:45 a.m.-1 p.m. in the Gathering Room on the museum’s sixth floor.
