Museum of the Bible Debuts Speakers Series of Acclaimed Biblical Scholars, Other Experts Coming to Nation's Capital
WASHINGTON, Nov. 21, 2017—In addition to its nonsectarian look at the Bible's history, narrative and impact, Washington's 430,000-square-foot, newest museum will host a monthly speakers series for members of the public interested in more in-depth discussion related to the Bible.
The series debut Nov. 30 will bring together renowned biblical scholars and two of the museum's senior leaders to look at the Bible's impact from different faith and cultural perspectives.

- Lawrence H. Schiffman, Ph.D., Judge Abraham Lieberman professor of Hebrew and Judaic studies and director of the Global Network for Advanced Research in Jewish Studies, New York University
- Cain Hope Felder, Ph.D., professor emeritus of New Testament language and literature, and editor of the Journal of Religious Thought (1982 – 2016) at Howard University School of Divinity in Washington.
- Timothy Samuel Shah, Ph.D., research professor in government, Institute for Studies of Religion, Baylor University, and director of international research, Religious Freedom Research Project, Georgetown University
