A Personal Word

Simply saying the words “Thank you” doesn’t seem enough to express my deep gratitude to the board, staff, volunteers, donors, members and friends like you for everything you have done to help open the doors of Museum of the Bible.

What started as a small endeavor to share some procured artifacts has evolved into a grand museum in Washington, D.C., unlike anything the world has ever seen before.

Our vision to invite all people to engage with the Bible and explore its history, narrative and impact has reached millions over the past few years through our traveling exhibits, research and educational content. And now the time has come to open our flagship museum in the capital, to advance this vision with an experience like no other.

All of us at the museum count it an honor to take part in this pioneering effort; to design and create an educational institution that breaks barriers of faiths, nationalities and cultures around the world; to share the magnificent impact of this great Book. We suspect our groundbreaking technology and designs will be become a template for museums to come.

What a pleasure it is to now see visitors walking through the 40-foot bronze gates and encountering the Bible as never before … and to know many friends like you have given time, finances, expertise and support to make it possible.

Please accept my heartfelt thanks. I am humbled and grateful to celebrate this Grand Opening with you and the exciting new endeavors that will take place at Museum of the Bible.
