Passages Interactive Living-History Exhibit Features Rare Biblical Texts and Artifacts in Historical Settings

SPRINGFIELD, Mo., March 19, 2014—

Passages is a 30,000-square-foot, interactive, living-history exhibit that chronicles the remarkable story behind the Bible. Through contextual settings, hands-on activities, and digital technologies, guests at Passagesexperience how the biblical narrative has been passed on from ancient times to the modern age. The family-friendly exhibition features some 400 items from the Green Collection, one of the world’s largest private collections of rare biblical texts and artifacts. The exhibit features artifacts preserved through the Jewish, Catholic, Protestant and Orthodox faith traditions. Since debuting in Oklahoma City (May 2011), hundreds of thousands people have experienced Passages in four U.S. cities. Select artifacts from the exhibit are on loan toPassages’ sister exhibit, Verbum Domini, which is on display at the Vatican during Lent and Easter of 2014. Artifacts from Passages will be part of a yet-to-be-named international Bible museum opening in 2017 in Washington, D.C.
