World Stage Theater
As part of Museum of the Bible’s groundbreaking exhibition of the Megiddo Mosaic—the pavement of the world’s earliest site of Christian worship—the museum and the Israel Antiquities Authority partnered to create a documentary about this exceptional discovery.
Be the first to see it at this exclusive event!
Hear from the archaeologist who discovered the mosaic, Dr. Yotam Tepper, and from other specialists about the significance of this find for early Christian history. The mosaic contains the name of several individuals, including a Roman centurion who paid for the floor, the artist, and five women. One of the women also donated a table, likely for the celebration of the Eucharist, which she dedicated to “God Jesus Christ”—the earliest archaeological declaration of Jesus as God. Learn more about the mosaic here.
From the discovery of the mosaic in an ancient Roman military camp to its display at Museum of the Bible, come discover the story of this important artifact at this special screening. The event is free, but registration is required.
