Through an immersive reading of her best-selling book, Three Wise Women, Dandi seeks to bring readers and listeners on a tour through the Holy Land in the first century. Through a lifetime of Bible study and a love of scripture, along with studies in the background, culture, and historical context of first-century Galilee, she offers listeners a journey to the first Christmas, one that’s anchored in reality. The story of Jesus unfolds through the eyes, ears, hearts, and spirits of three women God used to bring about the first Christmas, asking what life must have been like for Mary, a young girl growing up in Nazareth and Jesus’s expectant mother, Elizabeth, wife of a priest and mother of John the Baptist, and Anna the prophetess.
Lunch & Learn is a one-hour program on the last Wednesday of every month designed to engage guests in the building and online with interesting speakers who align with the mission statement and exhibition lineup of our museum. Attendance is free, but you must register. Please note that to attend in person, you will need to purchase a general admission ticket to the museum.
