Family Fun Day

Museum of the Bible has a special day planned for families Thursday, January 20. Join us for hands-on activities at our Education Station and special presentations from our living history interpreters.  

Family Fun Day runs from 1:00 to 4:30 p.m. and is an additional $4.99. Come have some fun!

Please note: Guests do not need to be vaccinated or show proof of vaccination to visit the museum. However, to attend this event or enjoy seated dining, unvaccinated guests must have a medical or religious exemption and show a negative test within the last 24 hours. First-Century Food: What Would Jesus Eat?
In this presentation, guests will learn about different foods in the first century, especially those mentioned in the Bible, and discover what many people, including Jesus, ate.

Tools of the Trade: Scribal Tools through Time
Journey through time with a living history interpreter to see what tools scribes used in recording stories, including the most impactful collection of stories in history: the Bible. Guests will get to try their hand at a few scribal activities.  

1:45–2:15 p.m., Floor 6, Gathering Room
Illumination Workshop
Designed for people of all ages, guests will receive a page from the Gutenberg press and create their own unique illuminations based on historic processes and examples.

Storytime
Join our educators for a brief, interactive retelling of a story from the Bible.
