Bible Engagement

The online Bible platform YouVersion.com released its annual report on Bible usage statistics and trends. In 2018, Bible engagement on the site increased by 60% in Argentina, Indonesia and the Netherlands, and it doubled in Japan and Romania. The YouVersion online community read more than 27 billion chapters of the Bible and listened to another 4.2 billion chapters. The website also observed a 59% increase in the number of “Bible Plan” days completed. The Bible verse most shared, bookmarked and highlighted was Isaiah 41:10: “Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.”
