Big Game Sunday

From its beginning in 1967, the Super Bowl game has become like a national holiday, as millions of people watch the match-up of conference champions to determine an NFL champion! And on many occasions it has been a platform for the Bible to football fans worldwide!

In the 2013 Super Bowl, Baltimore Ravens linebacker and Super Bowl champion Ray Lewis shared a verse from the Bible when he removed his jersey. On it, emblazoned in gold letters, were the words, “Psalm 91”—a reference from the Bible he also had written on the sides of his shoes—a psalm he encouraged the media to read earlier in the 2013 season!
