The Bible Said It First!

“I’m at my wit’s end!” “Ya gotta have the patience of Job!” Without knowing it, many of us quote or reference the Bible in our everyday life!

How about: “You’re just the scapegoat,” a word used in the book of Leviticus. Or, ”Be sure your sin will find you out” from Numbers 32:23. “I made it by the skin of my teeth,” check out Job 19:20. Then there’s “Out of the mouth of babes” from Psalm 8:2 and “holier than thou” from Isaiah 65:5. You can find this one in Isaiah 40:15: “A drop in the bucket!” and Ecclesiastes 1:9 reminds us there’s “nothing new under the sun!”
