In this year’s Time magazine list of the 100 Most Influential People is a young hip-hop artist—Chancelor Bennett—a.k.a., Chance the Rapper!

The Time article said of the Grammy-winning recording artist: “He makes music from an unapologetically inspiring and Christian perspective—music that transcends age, race and gender.”
An independent artist who streams his music rather than selling it, his latest release, “Coloring Book,” is filled with biblical references.

One track, called “Blessings,” references Psalm 119:133: “Order my steps in thy word and let not any iniquity have dominion over me,” Ephesians 6:17: “The helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God,” and Joshua 6, the story of the fall of the walls of Jericho.
