Making Lemonade Out of Lemons

One young girl is “making lemonade out of lemons” for children in foster care!

A’Layah and her brother spent much of their life in separate foster homes before being adopted by Misty Robinson. When A’Layah noted her brother didn’t have a toy to bring with him, it inspired her to do something to make sure other foster care children had a toy, and a lemonade stand seemed the perfect way to raise the money for what became a growing list of gift items!

On their first weekend they attended church with Misty, and were given their own small Bible. For A’Layah, the stories she read started a conversation about Jesus.

As she grew to “love her Bible," a small Bible was added to each child’s gift bag! The gift bags have been distributed to over 300 children, and A’Layah’s just getting started!
