La Biblia Lives On

On Sunday, March 20, 2016, former President Barack Obama became the first American leader to visit Cuba since ties were severed in 1961. He was the first sitting American President to do so since Calvin Coolidge in 1928!

But did you know a Museum of the Bible exhibit took place in Havana two years before that!

La Biblia: El Camino de Dios e el Camino del Hombre, or in English: “The Bible: The Way of God in the Way of Man”.

It was so well received by Cuban people that Museum of the Bible brought the exhibit to Cuba again.

Young Cuban professionals in Santiago used images of Museum artifacts to create another exhibition, sharing the history of the Bible with other Cubans.

The influence of La Biblia lives on as more people in Cuba engage with this Book of all books!
