Wycliffe Bible Translators

Did you know the entire Bible is available in 554 different languages?
And yet 180 million people are without access to any Bible in their heart language.
Most people in the U.S. own a Bible. Many have multiple copies, and yet millions of people still don’t have access to a single verse of the Bible!
In 1917, William Cameron Townsend went to Guatemala to sell Spanish Bibles—to the indigenous people who didn’t understand a word of Spanish! What began as a year-long commitment became several years as he translated the New Testament into the Cakchiquel language, and with it a movement to reach every people group with the Bible in their own language was born: Wycliffe Bible Translators.
Today, Wycliffe is responsible for over 75% of the 2100 Bible translation projects underway worldwide!
Engage with the Bible in its continuing impact and influence!
