Lolo Jones: Not Everyone Brings Home the Gold

Not everyone brings home the gold, but Olympic champion Lolo Jones says, “Olympic medal or not, I’m proud of what I’ve done.”

That includes being one of only 10 American athletes to compete in a Summer and Winter Olympics. And earning three world titles!

Lolo Jones is outspoken about her faith. Recovering from injuries going into the Games, she says, "The injury hurt my confidence." Echoing Paul's words in 2 Corinthians 12:10, she reminds herself, "When I am weak, He is strong. I'm really telling myself, 'I can't do this in my own strength.'"

Her plan is to not only complete in Rio de Janeiro, but also in South Korea in 2018. She readily admits, “Yes I’d like to earn at least one Olympic medal along the way!”
