The Servant Queen and the King She Serves

Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II—celebrated her 90th birthday this past June—the longest reigning monarch in British history!
In a commemorative book published this year by the British Bible Society, its very title says much about Elizabeth Alexandra Mary, born of the royal house of Windsor, “The Servant Queen. . .and the King She Serves!”

Royal biographer, William Shawcross says of Elizabeth: “Two things stand out—the Queen’s constant sense of duty and her devotion to God.”

Quoting from Matthew 20:28 in 2012, she said: “God sent his only son ‘to serve, not to be served.”
