Shannon Miller: The Most Decorated US Gymnast

She’s the most decorated U.S. gymnast, man or woman, in history!

Shannon Miller is the only female athlete to be inducted into the US Olympic Hall of Fame. . .twice!

But one of her greatest obstacles was loneliness?

My mom used to write little note cards and put sayings from the Bible on them. So when I felt really stressed or homesick. . .I’d read through each card.”

Shannon says: “I really liked the verse: God is my strength and power, and he maketh my way perfect.” It was particularly helpful on the floor exercise. I would always be so winded by the end of my floor routine, and my legs would feel like jelly before my last pass, but I would remember that saying, and I wold be able to land on my feet.”
