When the American Library Association published
their annual “Frequently Challenged Books” this
past week, "alerting the public that censorship is a serious problem”—for the first time, the Bible was in the top ten most challenged books!
. . .and by “challenged” they mean “documented requests to remove materials from schools or libraries.”
The Bible is no stranger to controversy!
Over the centuries, up to the present day, some find its words—its very presence—controversial.
In every century people have wrestled with what the Bible is, what it means and where it should reside!
